The story
The lockdowns of 2020 changed everyone’s work life. For Mark Miller and Dane Edhouse, two career furniture handlers, it meant the fleet they’d driven for was suddenly quiet. So they pooled their savings, bought a second-hand pantech and put a Google listing up for house moves in Melbourne.
Ten weeks later they had 47 five-star reviews and a booking calendar three weeks deep. They didn’t advertise. Customers just kept telling other customers.
Five years on, we run three depots across Melbourne and still take the calls ourselves when it matters. We haven’t sold to a franchise. We haven’t hired a call centre.
How we work
Two experienced movers per truck. All the gear on board — blankets, trolleys, straps, dollies, toolbox. One transparent hourly rate, with an estimate up front. A 2-hour minimum, then 15-minute billing, so you don’t pay for time you didn’t use.
We don’t do "cheapest quote wins" games. We quote fairly, deliver honestly, and the reviews page shows how that lands with customers.
We keep the business small on purpose, so the owners stay close to every job.
